Introducing

SKIWI

Skiwi is a cooperative card game where players build a ski track for a daring Kiwi, braving wild mountain weather together. Play through the deck twice, tally your score, and discover what kind of skier you really are.

OVERVIEW

Skiwi is a cooperative card game where players build a ski track for a thrill-seeking Kiwi, navigating wild weather like sun, snow, rain, and lightning. Each turn brings new challenges, and teamwork is key to helping the Kiwi become a top skier.

The game wraps up after two rounds through the Weather deck, with final Skiwi cards revealing bonus or penalty points. Quick to learn and full of surprises, Skiwi is perfect for players who love light strategy and shared adventure.

GAMEPLAY

In Skiwi, each player takes turns following a five-step sequence to build the ski track and respond to changing weather. First, they position their Skiwi card, then draw and reveal a Weather card that triggers an action. Once the action is complete, the Skiwi card is placed next to another on the track, even if it doesn’t align perfectly.

Players then check adjacent sides for scoring updates and draw a new Skiwi card to end their turn. This structured flow keeps the game moving while adding layers of strategy and unpredictability with each round.

SKIWI CARDS

Skiwi cards feature illustrated ski slopes with trail markers in various shapes and colors, creating a puzzle-like challenge for players. During their turn, players must match these markers from their hand to those already on the table, aiming for the best possible alignment.

Strategic placement earns points based on how well the markers connect, encouraging thoughtful decisions and spatial awareness. The visual design adds charm while reinforcing the game's theme of navigating a snowy mountain trail.

POINTS CARDS

Skiwi’s scoring system adds a playful twist to the endgame by ranking players based on their final point total. Scores range from -4 to 18, with each bracket assigning a skier title—from “Hopeless Skier” to “Winner!”—alongside a humorous description of your performance.

Whether you barely made it down the slopes or soared like a pro, the scoring table celebrates every outcome with charm. It’s a lighthearted way to wrap up the adventure and see how your Kiwi skiing skills stack up.

WEATHER CARDS

Weather cards in Skiwi introduce dynamic twists to gameplay by altering how Skiwi cards are placed. Each weather type—sun, rain, snow, wind, and lightning—triggers a unique action, such as rotating or flipping the card before placement. These effects challenge players to adapt their strategy and build the ski track creatively. Lightning cards add an extra layer of suspense, affecting final scoring at the end of the game.
